Live Wedding Portrait Illustration · Kent, London & the South East

Live portraits, drawn quietly during your day.

I draw your guests in charcoal and ink while the celebration unfolds — finding them naturally, sitting with them for a few minutes, then handing something made by hand to that one person that evening.

A thoughtful guest experience, not a gimmick.

The drawings are warm, kind, and recognisably of the person. A guest sits. They watch a portrait of themselves take shape. They walk back into the room holding it.

That small pause — five or ten minutes away from the room — tends to be one of the things people remember most clearly. Not the speech they half-heard, not the favour they left on the table. The moment someone looked at them carefully, and made something.

"The portraits were the detail people talked about. Not just on the night — weeks after. We still get messages from guests who've framed them."

Anna & George, Kent

"Caleb just disappeared into the room. You'd look over and there he'd be, drawing someone at a table. That's the magic of it."

Francesca & Tom, Sussex
Why it's different

Why People Book Me

Portraits that feel stylish, flattering, and worth keeping.

The aim is never caricature and never cold realism. Guests are drawn as they are — with care, with a line quality that feels made rather than printed. Something flattering enough to frame, honest enough to feel real.

A thoughtful guest experience, not a gimmick.

There's no queue, no prop station, no announcement. I move through the room the way a good host does — warmly, without gathering attention. Guests who receive a portrait become a quiet draw in themselves.

A live element that adds atmosphere without taking over the day.

This isn't the centrepiece. It's a calm pocket — a recurring, gentle thread that runs quietly beneath everything else you've planned. The room doesn't need to bend around it.

Clear planning, realistic guest coverage, and a calm on-the-day presence.

Timings and setup are agreed in advance. On the day, I arrive, walk the room, introduce myself to your coordinator, and work independently from that point. There's nothing for your team to manage.

"A good portrait says to someone: I have really looked at you."

For events and hospitality

Also for events and hospitality.

The same work translates naturally to members' clubs, design-led launches, vineyard evenings, and curated hospitality. Same charcoal and ink. Same quiet presence. The room just looks a little different.

Tell me about your day.

I take a limited number of weddings each year. If you think live portraiture might suit your celebration, fill in what you know — some details can still be unconfirmed.

I read every enquiry personally and reply myself, usually within a working day. No obligation, no hard sell — just an honest conversation about whether it feels like the right fit.
